Things to do in New York City:

Brunch:
🍗 Heavy Woods — This is the best brunch in New York. Amazing Southern Creole comfort food.
🍳 The Woods — cool brunch spot, looks like a cabin, extremely Brooklyn 2009.
🥘 Roebling Tea Room — Just great brunch food and drinks.
🥖 Balthazar — Expensive, fancy brunch.

Bars:
🍸 Maison Premier — Great seafood bar, but I've only been there on nice dates for cocktails.
🍻 The Levee — Big dive bar, not too special.
🥃 Hotel Delmano — Nice cocktail bar.
🕹 Barcade — Vintage video games and beer.

Clubs:
🎉 Nowadays — The best club in New York. Huge outdoor area, great indoor area, big bar, far away from everything. It’s a lot like a Berlin club.
🃏 Bossa Nova Civic Club — Great club the size of a bar. This was my favorite club in NYC for years.
💿 Rough Trade — I went to a pretty cool We Play House event here once. It was fun. It's a record store.
🕺 Output — I hate to recommend this place, but it’s pretty good I guess if you’ve never partied in Berlin. Expensive.
👯‍♀️ Good Room — This place throws good parties. Interesting interior.

Coffee:
☕️ Toby’s Estate Coffee — Standard hip coffee shop.
🌸 House of Small Wonder — The cafe above Zenkichi. There’s a tree growing through the middle.
☠️ Happy Bones — Tiny, minimal coffee shop.

Food:
🍣 Zenkichi — Incredible Japanese food. Wonderful maze of private booths. Make a reservation. There's a sister restaurant in Berlin.
🍜 M Noodle Shop — Funny little Chinese restaurant. Great food.
🍛 Shalom Japan — Jewish Japanese restaurant. Wild concept.
🍩 Dun-Well Doughnuts — Super good donuts. Somehow vegan?
🧀 Bedford Cheese Shop — Good cheese selection, nice place to pick up a snack and a craft beer.
🍕 Roberta’s — The pizza place everyone recommends. It's busy and expensive but it’s good.
🥡 Mission Chinese Food — Hip Chinese food. Really good. Cool interior.
🍲 Momofuku Noodle Bar — Great minimal noodle shop by a famous chef.

Shopping:
👕 Urban Jungle — Such a cheap thrift store with an insanely huge selection.
🧢 Opening Ceremony — Extremely hip. Extremely expensive.

Art:
🖼 Whitney Museum of American Art — Cool building, great shows.
